PLS 311 Series

Developed for enhanced adhesion on steel and fiberglass substrates in tanks storing refined petroleum products, including petrochemicals and specific chemical derivatives.

Technical Data Sheet: PLS 311 Series

Poly Lining Systems Inc. offers PLS-311 Resin, a corrosion coating for above-ground tanks storing petroleum fuels. PLS-311 is engineered to adhere to steel and fiberglass substrates and can be sprayed on for quick application. PLS-311f is a variation of PLS-311 specifically formulated for use in fiberglass tanks and provides enhanced compatibility with alcohol-blended petroleum fuels, alcohol fuels, and biodiesel fuels. PLS-311 is specially formulated and promoted for use as a corrosion coat designed to be applied to the interior surfaces of above-ground bulk petroleum storage tanks. The PLS-311 resin is intended to be applied to intact above-ground storage tank bottoms and walls which do not have a large degree of pitting or corrosion loss in order to mitigate further corrosion of these surfaces.

PLS 311 Benefits

Corrosion Resistance:

The PLS 311 tank lining resin offers field-tested corrosion resistance against various fuels, such as gasoline, kerosene, heating oil, and crude oils. If you have inquiries about the PLS 311 series resin’s compatibility and resistance in other chemical contexts, please consult our engineers for further details.

Thin Mil Application/Recoat Flexibility:

The PLS 311 resin is applied to a nominal 20 mil thickness in 2 successive coats. Re-coat can be performed from 3 hours to 3 days after initial coating providing a great deal of timing flexibility for the applicator.

Versatile:

PLS 311 Resin is suitable for various fabricating methods such as roller application, and spray application. filament winding. etc.
